about the editorI'm a freelance editor who has a background in both academic and professional editing. I completed my mentorship with Tessera Editorial, under the guidance of the highly esteemed Christa Desir.
Since the soft launch of Empowered Editing, I've worked on multiple projects, varying from editing romance novels for indie authors to providing editorial feedback to publishing companies. I've been in this field for several years, both as a copy writer and copy editor. More recently, I've been a proofreader, copy editor and developmental editor for fiction and nonfiction novels. I've also been in education for many years, in various roles, as an English high school teacher, a college instructor of several subjects, a writing and referencing specialist in higher education. I received my Honours Bachelor's Degree in both English and Psychology from University of Toronto, my Master's Degree in Education, my certificate in Romance Writing, and currently pursuing my Certificate in Publishing from TMU. |
